Wood Fired Pizza

 

A nice Sunday afternoon pizza.  The plan is to have casual outside pizza, salads, beer, wine and dessert every Sunday, 12 - pm,  throughout the summer at the Inn, weather permitting.  This week with Mangalitsa Salami & Basil.  Also asparagus & sweet herb flatbread.

More Mangalitsa on it's way.  Two hogs hit the scales at 220# & 229#, finished on Bruce Dunlops corn free formula.  They will be on premise tomorrow.

Orcas Island Pizza Oven

A good day, final wood fired oven build happened. First, build up a sand mold with many other space occupying objects. Next, layer of straight clay, sand, and a bit of Portland Cement. Finally, a cob layer and a skim of the same mix with added straw. The shape is great, we look forward to removing the sand mold as soon as it sets. Pizza is coming soon and many other roastable items, including our local Mangalitsa Pork.
